LIBERTY, N.Y. (December 8, 2017) – Mark your calendars and check it twice! The Town of Liberty Parks & Recreation announced two great festive activities for all to enjoy this holiday season.
Main Street in the Town of Liberty will be transformed into a winter wonderland during the “Light Up Main Street” event. All are welcomed to take a stroll down Main Street while singing Christmas carols and lighting up each storefront downtown. The event will take place on Saturday, December 16 at 5:30 p.m. free cookies and hot cocoa will be provided by Shoprite and handed out in the Liberty Senior Center.
The first ever Gingerbread House contest will take place this year as well. The contest is the perfect way to show off your special gingerbread house and spread holiday cheer. All entries must be delivered to the Town of Liberty Parks and Recreation department in completed form on Saturday, December 16, 2017 between 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. The winner(s) for each division will be announced on Liberty Parks and Recreation Main Stage.
