NEW WINDSOR, N.Y. (November 14, 2018) – The Orange County Industrial Development Agency announced today that Michael Gaydos of Newburgh, N.Y., has been appointed as the newest member of the IDA’s Board of Directors. Gaydos fills the vacancy following former Chairman Robert T. Armistead’s retirement last month.
“The IDA has been instrumental in fostering economic growth in Orange County and I am honored to serve alongside some of the area’s strongest leaders,” said Gaydos. “I look forward to identifying new opportunities to incentive businesses to relocate to or expand in Orange County, resulting in job creation for local residents.”
Gaydos is the business manager for the Town of Newburgh-based Ironworkers Local 417. He is also a member of the Hudson Valley Building & Construction Trades Council.
“Mike’s leadership experience, both professionally and civically, makes him a valuable asset to the IDA’s Board of Directors,” said Orange County IDA Chairwoman Mary Ellen Rogulski. “He has been an advocate for local workers and residents alike, and we believe this respect for our communities, coupled with his knowledge of the local labor sector, will promote economic growth that best serves Orange County.”
Gaydos joins Chairwoman Mary Ellen Rogulski; Second Vice Chairman John Steinberg, Jr; Secretary Stephen Brescia; Assistant Secretary Edward A. Diana; Robert J. Schreibeis, Sr.; and James DiSalvo.
