Orange County Executive Steven M. Neuhaus Announces the New York Air Show’s Return to Orange County

Show will be held on August 23rd and 24th and will feature the world’s fastest,  most agile jet

Get ready for a terrific thrill when the New York Air Show roars across the skies over Orange County Airport on Aug. 23rd and 24th. Last year’s Air Show drew more than 26,000 spectators over two days, many traveling from all around the county to Orange County to witness the excitement. This year’s heart-thumping spectacle will showcase the dazzling speed and maneuvers of the latest military jets, displays of historic aircraft, the daring feats of award-winning parachutists, and a one-of-a-kind air-vs-land race.

“The New York Air Show is one of the premier events of the summer here in Orange County, drawing visitors from across the Hudson Valley and beyond,” said Neuhaus. “This event not only highlights our strong connection to the military but also showcases our beautiful County as a destination. I encourage everyone to come out and experience this world-class display of aviation excellence.”

Leading the high-flying spectacle is the F-22 Raptor Demo Team, showcasing breathtaking aerobatics and jaw-dropping maneuvers from the world’s fastest, most agile fighter jet.

This year’s lineup will also include:

• MV-22 Osprey tiltrotor aircraft demonstrations

• P-51 Mustang, the legendary World War II and Korean War fighter plane

• The West Point Parachute Team, one of the oldest continually operating parachute teams in the U.S. military

• An air-versus-land race pitting the P-51 Mustang against the CyberBeast “Nighthawk,” a specially enhanced Tesla Cybertruck

• Aerobatics by Mark Meredith, retired U.S. Navy Captain, flying his meticulously restored 1951 de Havilland DHC-1 Super Chipmunk, “Chippy”

“It is not only a thrill to welcome the New York Air Show for its 11th year in Orange County, it is an honor to host this showcase of the amazing power and capabilities of the nation’s military aircraft,” said Amanda Dana, Director of Orange County Tourism and Film.

While enjoying the show, grab a bite and a drink at the food and beverage stands. Enjoy lawn boxes or preferred seating. Or take advantage of a catered lunch and all-day beverage bar as a member of the VIP Flight Line Club.

The New York Air Show is open both days from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Orange County Airport, 500 Dunn Road, Montgomery, N.Y. Tickets are $32.25 to $179.
