Persaud, who founded Aurochemicals in 1994 in Brooklyn. N.Y., is a hands-on presence in all aspects of the operation. He frequently works side by side with employees in the warehouse and production center to promote innovation, strategize efficiency and maintain and upgrade equipment. He also frequently travels the world, gauging evolution in the industry by touring facilities and factories and seeking suppliers.
This blended local and global vision was instrumental in Aurochemicals’ recent orchestration of a 5,000-square-foot warehouse addition at its sprawling campus in New York’s Hudson Valley. The addition now enables rare same or next-day shipping with well-capitalized product inventory on site, providing customers with fast service and industry-leading quality.
“Our new facility, which expands a warehouse constructed in 2019, significantly advances our responsiveness and flexibility for customers,” Persaud said. “In addition, this premium space enables Aurochemicals to purchase raw materials in larger volumes, resulting in substantial inventory that creates savings for customers and avoids the impact of tariffs.”
Aurochemicals prioritizes exceptional safety in every product. It recently achieved a rare accomplishment: a 99% Safe Quality Food (SQF) rating from the Safe Quality Food Institute (SQFI). The score mirrors elite ratings in previous years, including a 100% score in 2023, preceded by seven straight years of achieving a 99% Safe Quality Food (SQF) E-Excellent rating. The certifications are held in high regard by food processors, retailers and food-service providers across the world. In 2024, the score also was 99%.
Growth and success over Aurochemicals’ three decades have been seeded by signature milestones and innovations:
- Sales Growth: The company had $5,000 in gross sales during 1994, its first year. In Year 30, they were $50 million.
- Product Growth: Aurochemicals started with a handful of products. Now, 602 are offered, with 300 more soon to debut.
