Healey Brothers’ Driven to Give Foundation Donates $30,000 to Make-A-Wish® Hudson Valley

Funds Will Help Grant Life-Changing Wishes to Local Children Facing Critical Illnesses

GOSHEN, N.Y. (Oct. 7, 2025) – Healey Brothers Automotive Group’s Driven to Give Foundation has donated $30,000 to Make-A-Wish® Hudson Valley, supporting its mission to bring hope, strength and joy to children battling critical illnesses. The generosity will help grant at least three local wishes, transformative experiences that remind children and families that anything is possible.

The money was raised through the Fourth Annual Driven to Give Foundation Golf Outing, held Oct. 3, 2025, at Osiris Country Club in Walden, N.Y. The outing is the Foundation’s largest annual event and biggest fundraiser.

“Healey Brothers’ Driven to Give Foundation is honored to support Make-A-Wish this year, helping bring comfort, inspiration and meaningful moments to children and families facing serious medical challenges,” said Jay Healey, Chief Marketing Officer at Healey Brothers. “The transformative experiences made possible through Make-A-Wish remind us of the incredible impact compassion and community can have. We’re sincerely grateful to our generous sponsors, passionate golfers and the dedicated Healey team—together, they make this event not just a success, but a true celebration of giving across the Hudson Valley.”

“We are profoundly thankful to Healey Brothers Automotive Group for selecting Make-A-Wish Hudson Valley as the beneficiary of this year’s annual golf event,” said Kristine Burton, President & CEO of Make-A-Wish® Hudson Valley. “The Healey Brothers team embodies a genuine spirit of generosity and community care that fuels hope for the more than 150 children across the Hudson Valley waiting for their wishes to come true. Every contribution made and every individual who joins this cause helps transform dreams into lasting memories for children and families navigating some of life’s toughest challenges. Together, we’re doing more than granting wishes; we’re shaping moments of magic and creating a brighter tomorrow.”

Local partnerships are vital to Make-A-Wish’s mission. Make-A-Wish fulfills five categories of wishes: “to go,” “to meet,” “to have,” “to be” and “to give.” The organization relies solely on community support and receives no government funding. Funds raised locally directly grant wishes for children in the community, ensuring that donors like Healey Brothers Automotive Group make an immediate and lasting impact where they live and work.

Established with the Community Foundation of Orange and Sullivan, the Driven to Give Foundation is a permanently endowed fund to award grants to a wide range of nonprofit organizations in the Hudson Valley, as well as scholarships to students pursuing automotive industry careers. The Foundation extends Healey Brothers’ tradition of supporting nonprofits and other regional civic and philanthropic initiatives.

“All of us at Healey Brothers and the Driven to Give Foundation are delighted with the success of this year’s golf outing and even more grateful that the proceeds will help Make-A-Wish deliver life-changing experiences for children and families in our community,” said John Koerner, Executive General Manager at Healey Brothers. “Our employees take great pride in giving back. Supporting such an extraordinary organization reflects our shared commitment to making a meaningful difference in the Hudson Valley.”

About Make-A-Wish Hudson Valley

Make-A-Wish® Hudson Valley creates life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses. We seek to bring every eligible child’s wish to life because a wish is an integral part of a child’s treatment journey. Research shows children who have received a wish are able to build the physical and emotional strength needed to fight critical illnesses. Since its inception in 1986, the Hudson Valley Chapter has granted wishes to over 3,400 children in the community it serves.  The Chapter’s territory spans eight counties of the Hudson Valley, including Delaware, Dutchess, Orange, Putnam, Rockland, Sullivan, Ulster and Westchester.  The Chapter is a Better Business Bureau Wise Alliance Accredited Charity, meeting the 20 Standards for Charity Accountability. Additionally, a recent independent audit of the chapter reported that 73% of all funds raised go to program services.  For more information about the Hudson Valley Chapter, visit hudson.wish.org.
