NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y., June 26, 2026 – The Boys & Girls Club of New Rochelle has announced a series of leadership updates, including appointments to its Board of Directors Executive Team, the addition of new Board members and several staff hires and promotions that strengthen the organization’s operations, program delivery, parent engagement and fundraising efforts.
“The Boys & Girls Club of New Rochelle continues to attract high-caliber professionals who believe in and support our mission,” said CEO Becky Mazzanobile. “Their leadership, expertise and commitment strengthen our ability to serve young people and families throughout New Rochelle while ensuring we continue to grow and expand opportunities for future generations.”
The Board of Directors Executive Team includes President Jacquetta Hogan, Vice President Tim McChristian, Treasurer Nicole Bell-Simon and Corresponding Secretary Gina Summa Egan.
Hogan serves as Executive Vice President and Regional Director of EB Account Management and Operations for USI Insurance Services, where she oversees account management and operations across the Northeast region. A respected leader with more than 15 years of experience in client management and strategic consulting, she was raised in and continues to reside in New Rochelle’s Remington community. Hogan is also a member of the Boys & Girls Club of New Rochelle’s Remington Clubhouse Women’s Auxiliary.
“I am truly honored and excited to serve as Board President of the Boys & Girls Club,” said Hogan. “As someone whose roots are deeply connected to this community, it is especially meaningful to be part of an organization dedicated to empowering young people in New Rochelle. Through my involvement with the Remington Women’s Auxiliary, I have had the privilege of supporting the Club and witnessing firsthand the impact of its mission. I look forward to working alongside our experienced board members to build on the organization’s strong foundation and continue creating opportunities for the youth and families we serve.”
McChristian brings decades of executive leadership experience, including a 35-year career with IBM where he held senior leadership positions across Asia Pacific, the Middle East and Africa. Following his corporate career, he served as CEO of Madison Square Boys & Girls Club, further strengthening his commitment to youth development and nonprofit leadership.
“As a New Rochelle resident, I am honored to serve on the Board of the Boys & Girls Club of New Rochelle and help advance its mission of providing young people with the support, opportunities and resources they need to succeed,” said McChristian. “Investing in our youth is one of the most meaningful ways we can strengthen our community’s future.”
Bell-Simon, who has served on the Club’s Board of Directors for the past 10 years, continues to provide valuable financial oversight and institutional knowledge as Treasurer.
“Serving on the Boys & Girls Club of New Rochelle Board for the past 10 years has been deeply meaningful to me,” said Bell-Simon. “I have seen firsthand how the organization creates safe, nurturing spaces and real opportunities for young people across our community. I am honored to resume my role as Treasurer and support the organization’s continued growth, strong financial stewardship and lasting impact on the children and families we serve.”
Egan is a lifelong New Rochelle resident, ENL teacher at New Rochelle High School and dedicated advocate for children and families. She has served in leadership roles throughout the community, including as President of New Rochelle SEPTA from 2017 to 2020. An active supporter of the Boys & Girls Club, Egan continues the legacy of her father, Michael Summa, whose lifelong connection to the Club inspired her commitment to serving local youth and families.
“The Boys & Girls Club of New Rochelle was a second home to my father, providing him with friendship, safety and a strong sense of community, and it became a special part of my childhood as well,” said Egan. “The Club helped shape the person he became. I am proud to continue his legacy through my service on the Board. It is my way of honoring the organization that meant so much to our family and helping ensure that future generations have the same opportunities, support and sense of belonging that had such a lasting impact on his life and mine.”
Other members of the Board of Directors include Kristin Bamberger, Joseph Bodden-Godoy, C. Douglas Dixon, Jaime Edwards, Millie Guzman, Rhiannon Navin, Jessica Nelson-Clark, Sheldon Pride, Jasmine Rice and Mark Steffensen.
The organization also welcomes two new members to its Board of Directors.
Sylvia Fassler-Wallach has joined the Board of Directors, bringing extensive leadership experience in school finance, operations and educational administration. As Assistant Superintendent for Business Operations for the Mamaroneck Union Free School District, she oversees school finance, facilities, technology, transportation and food service operations. Her deep roots in New Rochelle and longstanding leadership throughout the Mamaroneck and Larchmont communities will help support the Club’s continued growth and community engagement efforts in the region.
Eileen Cheigh Nakamura has joined the Board of Directors. A board director and former Pfizer executive, she brings more than 30 years of leadership experience in finance, strategy and operations across global healthcare. Her expertise in governance, financial oversight and long-term strategic planning will help advance the organization’s mission and strategic priorities.
The organization has also expanded its staff with several new hires to support development, engagement and financial operations.
Edward Russo has joined the organization as Director of Development, overseeing fundraising strategy and donor engagement efforts.
Zachely “Z” Nickens has joined as Community and Parent Engagement Manager, leading family engagement initiatives and community partnerships.
Rashmikant Doshi has joined the organization as Accounting Manager. Bringing experience in both the nonprofit and for-profit sectors, he will support financial operations, reporting and organizational growth initiatives.
Phoebe Rivera has joined the organization as Social Emotional Learning/Mental Wellness Consultant. A former Boys & Girls Club of New Rochelle site director in the Larchmont/Mamaroneck community, she will help strengthen social emotional learning and mental wellness best practices, resources and support systems across Clubhouse and school-based programs.
Several staff members have also been promoted into expanded leadership roles across program and administrative functions.
Sabrina Rivera has been promoted to Senior Director of Grant Programs, overseeing grants management and funding strategy for the organization’s large LEAPS and 21st Century grant initiatives.
Daniel Fernandez now serves as Area Associate Director of School Site Operations, overseeing multiple school-based program sites. Previously, he served as Director of the Club’s Trinity Elementary School site in New Rochelle.
Andres Mendoza has been promoted to College, Career and Civics Coordinator, supporting youth workforce readiness, post-secondary planning and civic engagement opportunities.
Gustavo Morales now serves as Teen Director at the Mascaro Clubhouse and New Rochelle High School, leading teen programming and engagement initiatives.
Fatima Muniz has been promoted to Administrative Coordinator, supporting operational and administrative functions across the organization.
