Materials and campaigns developed with agency of record Focus Media and video partner Ellenbogen Creative Media market the region for growth, receive recognition
HVEDC, which works to promote economic development throughout the seven-county region, was recognized for developing and implementing a wide range of both digital and traditional marketing efforts. The organization earned Best in Class awards in the categories of Multimedia Advertising and Annual Reports, while receiving honorable mentions in the Printed Advertising and Printed/Electronic Newsletter.
“This recognition is not just about being acknowledged for great design and writing,” said Larry Gottlieb, HVEDC president and CEO. “These awards are about the economic development results these tools generated, and that’s how we approach everything we do… seeking positive outcomes for our work. I’m so honored to lead such a great organization.”
“It is humbling to be recognized again this year by NYSEDC for our organization’s marketing materials,” said Robert J. Levine, Esq., interim chairman of the HVEDC Board of Directors. “To be named ‘Best in Class’ in multiple categories is truly an honor.”
In the Multimedia category, HVEDC received accolades for its HVEDC Launches Hudson Valley EDs & MEDs video, which introduced the organization’s latest cluster initiative and showcased how the Hudson Valley has the potential to be an economic hub for the health care and higher education sectors. The organization also developed a video to tease its event: “2nd Annual State of the Hudson Valley Economy: Full STEaM Ahead!” Media partner Ellenbogen Creative Media produced both videos.
HVEDC’s 2014 Annual Report, designed by Focus Media and centered on the theme of “stitching together the fabric” of the Hudson Valley regional economy, was deemed “Best in Class” in its category.
In terms of printed advertising materials, HVEDC continued its campaign for the Hudson Valley Food & Beverage Alliance, developed with agency of record Focus Media. The campaign featured local companies like Finding Home Farms, Pearl River Pastry Company, The Little Wine Bus, Yonkers Brewing Company and Peekskill Brewery.
In the Printed and Electronic Newsletter category, NYSEDC recognized the organization’s fall 2015 issue of HVEDC Insights.
“Central Hudson congratulates HVEDC on their recent awards from NYSEDC,” said Mike Mosher, president and CEO of Central Hudson Gas & Electric Corp., a key partner of the organization. “Potential and existing regional businesses get a better impression of the Hudson Valley with each passing year due to the efforts of this great organization.”
“Working with HVEDC to position this great region for economic growth has always been a thrill for our agency,” said Josh Sommers, CEO of Focus Media and member of the HVEDC Board of Directors. “We’re proud to have created some award-winning pieces that distinguish the Hudson Valley from the rest of the nation.”
